Batch 3

Yep here are the last 5 figures of Batch 3 and a group shot of all of Batch 3 together.

They are a mix of Makes, just Perry Miniatures and Empress I believe, But I may well be wrong about that. So do not take my word at all.

I have mostly stuck with dull cloth in the clothes but with bright accents like turbans or belt sashes.  I say mostly as sometimes I did stray and paint a tunic Pink green red or Blue, to break them up and make them look less uniform. I think it has worked quite well. But the majority of colours are cream and browns

Shields I have painted bright universily and tried to make te colours as varied and bright as possible. Having said that I will do a Lilac shield if there is a next batch as I know I have not painted that colour yet.

But there they are another 20 finished varnished and put ib a case ready for Matt to collect them.

Thanks for looking today and I will need to start on my own figures later this day as I have no idea what I will blog in 2 days time. You never know it might be terrain!

All the best and I hope you are enjoying the Olympics.

Cheers Clint

    1. Thank you Michael. The group shots do show a consistency (or lack there of) so you get an idea what they will look like as a force on the table.

  3. Your group shots just show how impressive they look. They appear to be a force to be reckoned with. Good work.

  4. There's certainly a nice mix of figures in there and the non-uniform colours really do suit them.

Violet - is it a purple colour, I'd need to google it. I know its a flower and I believe GW had a colour called Violet Blue, but its one of those that I'm never sure on.

The Olympics - not watching them, but then they've never been my thing. I like to read all of the issues each day, such as the green pools, stolen Team GB bags, caught out drug cheats and how much the US acrobats clothing costs for each garment (how much!). Bit like me and football, I like to read about the happening outside of the matches, but can't be bothered to watch the games.

    1. Thanks Roy. I am not a big sport follower and much presefer the Winter Olympics to the summer. But at least you do get to see some sports that are never covered on the TV normally. When was the last time you saw shooting, archery, canoeing etc on the Main sports programmes. So once in a while I do watch the Olympics, but not the Athletics as I feel I can watch that every other week if I really want to!

  5. Nice Burpas, would love to see these guys in action, is it possible for Matt to do a group shot of all the fine work you've done on these? The turquoise shield/buckler is lovely btw

  7. Another great group of Burpas and the occassional splashes of colour really adds to the toned down colours-
great group shot too showing off the variety.
