Turn Sequence. |
Secondly a Neighbour has borrowed my step ladder so I can't take the usual photo of the whole board. But Hopefully I will have something similar!
Sorry no Step Ladder so the best shot of the whole board. |
Mathyoo in the Unicornico On the Right hand side of the board. |
The Spanish line Fragments |
Neither Millsy nor Ray are in Arc of fire of each other. But are now at long and not extreme range! |
HMS Inconsistent is just in arc of Millsy, but lacks the range. |
Milsy is also in arch of Edwin, but also lacks the range. |
HMS Cutlass inches closer. |
The British on the right of the board. Just out of range. |
HMS Agamemnon has a very good arc of fire on San Francis, but the range is too short. |
Curt and Lee both move into position. |
But firing arc and range stop them from firing. |
The last two Spanish ships from the harbour a steady full speed move from both of them should get them into the action in a turn or four! |
NO SHOOTING AGAIN THIS TURN! Just in case you thought you missed it.
Thanks for playing guys and thank you all for reading as well. I will try to post Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week. As I should have an AAR from the club and have just finished my first donnybrook British Cavalry (well am on the bases now).
Hope to see you all soon. All the best Clint
We'll it looks like we will action next turn...
ReplyDeleteI did think it would happen this turn. First shots will probably happen next turn. But that depends on the turn sequence which is random!
DeleteThank you Dave.
STILL out of range! Arggh!
ReplyDeleteThere might still be something afloat by the time you catch up with us Dave! Mind you it won't be the same pulverising the San Francis if the admiral isn't at the helm. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
There is a possible replacement admiral for the Spanish. More will be revealed as time goes by. It will come down to the order of the turn sequence cards to determine if you will get a shot off next turn... or indeed if the Spanish will. Thank you Edwin.
Deletegetting closer - eventually there has to be some shooting in this game!
ReplyDeleteEventually, Unless of course you are all loaded with short range ammo! I think I saw some of your crew loading feathers into the guns.
DeleteProbably shooting next turn.
Thank you sir.
No BOOM BOOM, but there was some action. The Spanish line fragmented and there was good movement on the board.
ReplyDeleteI'm not privy to what is going on with Fran. I hope it's nothing too serious and of course wish him the best.
Fran is Ok, just very busy and had to let something slide and this game was one of those things. So no need to worry.
DeleteI cannot guarantee that any or all ships will fire next turn either, If the turn sequence dictates that they fire art the beginning of their turns they will all be either out of range or arc of fire. So you will have to tune in next week to be sure.
Thank you Anne.
Have you been following Capt Fearless's expert commentary Anne? I think he's going to have a few words to say, having been woken up from his nap a turn early!!!
DeleteDam it so close yet so far. Bring out the guns! Fire Fire Fire!
ReplyDeleteI am itching for gunfire as well, it will all depend on the order of the turn sequence. Thank you Simon.
DeleteHi Clint. As a true Froggy, I'd be happy to replace Fran temporarily, just so I can shoot at some Brits ;)
ReplyDeleteMy email sebastien(dot)gimeno(atat)gmail(dotty)com
Seb
I have sent an email to your address. Thank you Seb.
DeleteI didn't expect that!! and just who is that dashing looking bandito???
ReplyDeleteThat was indeed a shock..
DeleteOh Ray I think that photo might get another outing in a weeks time when you play Spanish Civil war. (Unless anyone can send me a funnier one of a Reject!)
DeleteI was not expecting that either. I do send a confirmation email when I receive orders EACH turn but I do not work out what is going on until it comes to a move order.
Thank you Ray.
Wake me up when the shooting starts!? Lol.
ReplyDeleteIt's just the way the cards are drawn. Sometimes it happens that way. Thank you Bob. Should be soon though.
DeleteAt this point I'd like to offer the captain of HMS Badger the opportunity to strike his colours and surrender. Never let it be said the glorious Spanish navy fail to offer weaker opposition more than honourable terms!
ReplyDeleteVery generous of you. Thank you millsy
DeleteWill this tension ever break... like the Spanish line has.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it will. Thank you Robert.
