Swag from Broadside.

Well today I was at the Broadside show. Having returned and watched the football and a quick doze I am now refreshed and thought I might do a very quick blog post detailing the huge amount of loot/swag I managed to haul home.

Ok it's not a large selection at all, very small indeed in fact. So small that I actually bought more money back from the show than I had when entering, as I had some figures for a friend.

I only bought 3 things I could have spent more, much more as it happens, but for some curious reason was not in the mood.

I only got:

1 pack of MDF bases from Col Bills
1 pot of pain in British uniform colour.
1 pack of 2mm static grass.

As you can see this really was a minimal spend. No impulse buys, no new projects and no unnessercary expenditure at all.

As I type this I am feeling rather tight fisted and miserly.

All the best and a show report tomorrow if I can.
Cheers Clint

  1. Nothing wrong with a minimal spend :)

I had planned on coming down today, but I'll be away next weekend so needed to get things done at home. Still, it was a shame to miss seeing you guys.

  2. Crikey, Col. Bills have had a full weekend. They were at Durham yesterday. That's a lot of mileage and time spent in a van.

Depending upon my mood I'll quite happily not spend anything, even should it be the only opportunity I have to make the purchase in purchase. If I'm feeling really low then a tightfistedness can enter my habits, so much so that it can take over and I've got to spend to break the compulsion. All part of the condition I've got, I suppose.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed yourself and I look forward to seeing the show report, when you can.

  3. Clint
Net financial gain at a wargames show, there is something truly wrong about that idea.

  5. Bah, you're just not trying :-) . We all have to consume more and more, else the wheels will fall off the world - everyone knows that!

    1. Thanks C6. I think you might be right, so I shall now order a few pieces and get them sent to me! Sometimes I need to do it this way to avoid unnessercary impulse buys!

  6. I truly admire your very limited purchases, you shall henceforth be known as "Clint Iron-Will".
I blame the traders not enticing you enough.
