You are reminded that the Painting challenge is all about stamina and endurance. And many people suffer burnout at OR even before the end!

But the challenge has started at 6am this Sunday Morning GMT and will last for 3 months.
I have a few things on the painting table all ready to go. I have done some research to get the markings right and the colours correct. I know that it will not be enough and that I will need to do more before the challenge ends.
But I will be starting with some "Modern" wargaming but I can honestly say I have no idea what I will be painting by the end of the challenge.
If you want to follow the challenge It can be found here! Good luck to everyone involved.

Best of luck Clint. You're spot on about this being being a marathon, not a sprint. Got badly burnt out last time round after a month or so... This year I hope to more evenly pace myself. Looking forward to seeing your Moderns :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Blax, I have several era's of moderns this year. Well one Era but different scales and parts of the globe. Starting with a "Battering Ram" armoured Company! I wish you luck as well mate. Have a good one.
DeleteGood luck Clint! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't started yet - will be doing in a few minutes though :)
Thank you Tamsin (My leader!) I am only base coating figures at the moment. Just block colours so It's boring but a nessercary step.
DeleteGood luck Clint!
ReplyDeleteThank you Roger. I suspect I might need luck to reach my target!.
DeleteGreat to hear from you Loki I really appreciate the comment. Spectate away, I hope I provide enough for you to look at.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck, mate!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bryan. No zombies planned this challenge but maybe some horror and fantasy.... all depends what I get for Crimbo! So Probably socks!
DeleteGood luck Kentish man, from a Man of Kent lol I'll be cheering you on mate
ReplyDeleteDon't you dare call me Kentish! I was born the correct side of the River. I am not one of those Kentish splitters!*Climbs off of Soapbox*
DeleteI am a Man of Kent mate.
Thank you Gobbo. 3 months painting has started. I hope I do not disappoint!
Your painting never disappoints mate :) bloody splitters!! Welcome back to the fold my man lol
DeleteThanks Gobbo. When I lived in Leeds they thought I was a Londoner! SO at least you had the right county!
DeleteGood luck Clint, I have started the ball rolling, I always like an early submission.
ReplyDeleteIan
Thanks Ian. Me as well. Probably tomorrow, maybe Tuesday,
DeleteAll the best there Clint and I am looking forward to seeing the results.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pete. I suspect some of your flags will feature SOON!
DeleteBest of luck my good man.
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael. I hope to have a vehicle done by this time tomorrow.
DeleteBest of luck Clint!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bob
DeleteMy first reaction was "Well put 'em on again", but I blamed my medication and swiftly realised the title related to the upcoming painting challenge - good luck Clint and as someone once said "slow but steady wins the race".
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe. When I did a google search for images under the title "They're off!" I was expecting more smut. I am delighted there was not much at all. So maybe I should increase my medication as well.
DeleteLooking forward to seeing what you get done.. and hopefully I can keep the marathon mentality, as right now I am in sprint mode ( more to come soon ;) ).
ReplyDeleteThanks Kyle. Some people stay in sprint mode for 3 months then do nothing afterwards. It is whatever works best for the individual. Me I am struggling to get going.
DeleteLooking forward to seeing your output!
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon. I am not expecting to do as well as last year. I may not clear 500 points this year. But I have put my first entry in (very cheeky only 2 Points!)
DeleteGood luck, Clint! Looking forward to seeing you in the Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sidney. My first couple of entries should be minimal in size.
