Slowing down?

Well perhaps I am and maybe the shine has gone off of blogging for the moment.
However here is a finished piece of wargames work

Yes I am continuing with my Frozen planet idea. A little slower perhaps and perhaps a little more consciously .  As I ponder what opposing force to collect. One side as regular readers will already know are the CDSU (Chinese Democratic Socialist Union). The other force I have not settled on. So in the mean time here are some German Light trucks. Let's be clear this does not mean the opposing force will be German. What this means is that merchants will sell nations whatever they think they need and what they can pay for.

they are all 1/300thscate (6mm in wargames parlance) from Brigade games. They were also in the same pack of light hover trucks. This should give enough legalistic support two both sides. As I still have 1/2 a pack of light trucks and half a pack of heavy trucks still to paint. So they will be painted in the colour scheme of the other side.

As you can see along with the AA truck are 3 enclosed box bodies and 3 open "Pick up " trucks for those items unlikely to perish in the cold weather of the frozen planet.

7 of the 14 light trucks painted and ready for table placement.

That is today's quick catch up post. as blog posting is a bit tricky at the moment.

Hope to see you soon, all the best Clint

  1. These look really good, Clint. Maybe you are slowing down but your paint jobs are as good as ever.

    1. Thank you Bryan. My slow down is partly due to the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge. But only partly. Also partly due to the weather. Mostly I am just in the doldrums! But am slowly pulling myself out of those!

  2. Very nice Clint and I think we are all slowing down a tad. I had planned a day's painting, but find myself procrastinating about all manner of things.

    1. Thank you Michael. Another part of the issue is that I will be at cavalier in less than 2 weeks so one is reluctant to start anything for fear of buying new shinnies!

  3. Very nice Clint! I think the German's would be a great foe for the Chinese.

    1. Thank you Ray. As yet I have not decided it really could be any nation. I think I will know when the time is right.

    1. Thank you Fran. When it comes to 6mm sci fi, the only advise I could give is get a set of rules you like and take it from there.

  6. I wouldn't worry too much about "slowing down", it's all relative - do what you want when you want and blogging isn't the be-all of this hobby.
Your "Ice world2 forces are still coming along very nicely and as for opposition surely they could use anyone's equipment rather than have "their own"?

    1. Thank you Joe. I agree just look at the middle east or Africa "Toyota" is the most common make but as far as I am aware Japan has never been involved.

As for blogging it was good to have a few days off!

  8. Still looks good. I've had periods of low motivation before, but it's always come back eventually. But as others have said, you don't *have* to do this if you don't feel like it.
