Wee Beastie!

Sorry no post on Monday Illness is rife here. all OK and all recovering slowly. Thanks for any concerns

I shall do an AAR on Friday from a great game at the club.

Until then here is a wee beastie I have finished for Matt.

I am sorry I have no idea of the make or the scale so feel free to make them up to suit yourself. I did put flowers on the base as Matt does tend to prefer 28mm figures so that would be my best guess. But it could easily be of any scale including MUCH larger than real life. I just do not know. So your guess is as good as mine.

As for what Matt will use it for again I have no idea. I did ask what colour it should be and Matt said any colour I like! I have fond D&D memories and do indeed recall a purple worm so guess what colour I painted it. No not Brown, but purple!

The last Pic does show scale or more accurately size as I have included a coin of the realm . That should make everything clearer!

That's it for today, thanks for looking all the best Clint

And it is Blooming cold now!

    1. Thank you Roy. I did wonder if I should paint it like a "Sand worm" from Dune. I think if I was painting it for myself and 15m sci fi I probably would!

    2. I like the purple. Seeing it here is making me think about using the colour for any monstrous creature that I may have to paint in the future. The red of the mouth and browned ivory of the horns really work well with the colour.

    3. Thank you Roy. Purple and cream always work well together, as do blue and brown. But blue was not on my radar this time out.

  3. Great work on the monster (whatever it is!) and I especially like the effect you've got with the spines :-)
Sorry to hear you've been 'under the weather' and all the best for your speedy recovery!

    1. Thank you Addict. I am fine. I look after my mother and she has "Over done it" again this morning. But she is getting better and better.
      It's age....

As for the monster it will do, It could be a LOT worse as I keep telling myself.

  4. That is such a cool figure. I could definitely find a use for it, so I hope someone can identify what it is and where it comes from.

    1. Thank you Bryan, Noo idea who makes it. Matt got it as a job lot on eBay so that is little help! I like it mostly in fact other than the lower jaw I like it a lot.

BTW I have a suspicion Matt gets me to paint things for the blog in the hopes that someone will identify them. He's cunning like that.

    1. Thank you Joe. As you will see in the AAR when Matt does put a game on it does look spectacular. But what he has planned is at this stage closely guarded... I have no idea at all.

  6. Looks great Clint. It looks like a giant Tyranid Ripper. Nice colour scheme and this will come in handy for all sorts of gaming!

    1. Thank you Simon. I am not sure it will have all that many uses. I don't see it fitting into many Napoleonic games for instance. Still it was fun and that means a lot.

  9. Great work on your "Reaper Miniatures" Cavern Worm, Clint. It doesn't tend to get much love due to just being the head poking out of the ground, but your purple paint job is first class imho. For those interested its from their Dark Heaven Legends range, and sadly doesn't seem to have been produced as a "Bones" sculpt.

    1. Thank you Blax. At least I know what it is now and for that thank you. As for the purple on a fantasy creature it did seem appropriate.

    1. Thank you Andy. I agree scale is less important on fantasy creatures. Which does make them very adaptable.

  11. I'm someone who has lived a life seemingly in the background, I must say this final indignity I have suffered almost too much to endure. You see, I have been sickly and weak since the day I was born and doomed to go through all my life a weakling. I seemed to have always suffered from one illness or another and could never play with the other children as I so desperately wanted to. Mother always made such a big fuss over me, also, making the situation worse as the other boys teased me mercilessly after they saw it. I was browsing  the internet searching on how i could be transformed into a powerful when i came across the email of a man named Lord Mark. who was a VAMPIRE so I told him that I has always dreamed of becoming a  VAMPIRES, All i did was just to follow the procedure that i was been told, and i bet you that procedure I took change my entire life to something i ever desire, freedom, sickness free, pains free, fame, influence, connections and even more that i can. Thanks to Lord Mark. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable?
