The same figures as last time. By that I mean 28mm Footsore British union of Fascists. Just the latest batch finished.
You guessed it for matt again and I will do a group shot early next week. I say next week as while they will be finished for the club on Sunday I thought I would break the series of posts with something else I am painting.
That's it for today. More again soon (planning for Saturday). Until then take care and have fun.
All the best from a rainy Kent.
I thought I was doing well getting ten 10mm figures painted up, and then I spot that you've painted a platoon of 28s in the same time period.
ReplyDeleteI'm not envious, honest :)
Thanks Roy. I suspect I have been painting figures longer then you. As a consequence I have learnt enough to paint faster. Not better, just faster!
DeleteI've been painting regularly for a little over a year now, so you could be right. Previous to that, I used to play with unpainted lead :(
DeleteI on the other hand have been painting for about 35 years.... I might start getting it right soon!
DeleteMore sterling work Clint! That is quite the force you've painted now. I love the colour scheme and basing.
ReplyDeleteCheers Bob
DeleteI hope you like what I am painting at the moment (reveal on Saturday).
Matt's getting a nice sized force of these guys from you. They may have a simple paint scheme but they do look nice.
ReplyDeleteIf I can find the time to get away from house/yard work, I'll pop in over the weekend.
Thanks Anne. I should blog again on Saturday. 2 Figures are now finished so will photo them tomorrow. (in the light)
DeleteMore nice work old boy, greeting from damp Tipperary!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran. The rain has now stopped (temporarily!)
DeleteMy word Matt is building a mighty big force and all beautifully painted by your good self.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael. I should have something different on Saturday!!! Just for a change of pace.
DeleteThe BUF are building up forces at quite a pace and I envisage Matt having some diabolical plan for them, no doubt including your doom alomg the way too!
ReplyDeleteGreat figures and brushwork again on these chaps, but what weaponis the third guy from left iin the front row holding ?
Thanks Joe. Yes I fear my final doom is planned by Matt.
DeleteThe gun is a British "Lanchester" smg I think. But could be German MP28/II they look very similar infact the British copied the german version.
The British version was mainly used by the Royal Navy until 1945 when it was phased out.
I hope that answers your question.
More fine additions. It is turning out to be a good size force.
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon. I think it is at platoon strength now,
