BUF Auxilary (Part 1)

Hurray Painted figures! Yes today here are 10 BUF Auxiliary troops. They are all 28mm and by Musketeer miniatures and available here (Click this link ) and are painted to represent the BUF in the North Somerset campaign, but they will be used in Kent for the crossing of the Medway and the ongoing battles with the AL.

They have been painted for Matt and he has done some weapon swaps among the figures but I do not notice any in the first photographs. So they may be finished for Saturday. Overall very nice figures to paint and base and I have enjoyed doing them. 10 more to finish for now, but who knows after that. Apart from the Lewis gun they are all rifle armed with chevrons on the jacket sleeve for the far right figure in the first photo.

That is it for today. With luck another 10 on Saturday. All the best from sunny Kent.

Cheers Clint

    1. Thank you Pat. The problem is that the light fades very fast this time of year.

    1. Thank you Blax. The colour scheme is given in the VBCW source book so no real thinking about it. Speed wise I have several things on the go at once so there is usually something close to being finished. The Analogue painting challenge throws a spanner in the works as I then try to get things finished before the start. Ahh well.

    1. Thank you Kyle.

As for the painting challenge. I am not going mental at it. Just painting what I want and stuff for Matt. (He says he has enough for me! More than enough, much more than enough.)
For myself I have loads of 10mm Zulus to paint which I started in the last challenge but have stopped all year. I do not get much joy from painting them! I have sent of for 2 small orders and I will complete each of the bonus rounds. No Idea what "L'Armour!" or "Defensive position" will be yet but I do have ideas for the rest.

  8. Ah, yet more reinforcemens for the BUF, Matt's collection is certainly coming along quickly, I think you're in for one helluva battle-
Great looking start to the unit(as always)

    1. Thanks Joe. I suspect that Matt is collecting a couple of platoons for each force. And I also suspect he will want a BIG battle sometime.

    1. Thanks Peter. All colours taken from your paintings. But I agree they do suit the BUF so well.

As for the Sun. It is a rare and elusive creature more associated with southern climates particularly aboard where it has a violent disposition and can burn the unwary!
