Fiat 621

Well I must be honest yesterday was I can't be bothered day! I did manage a teeny bit of painting.  This is a MISCAST 20mm (1/72scale) Fiat 621 Truck.  It was used by the Italians in ww2 Western desert. Captured ones were used by the British And commonwealth troops as such drivers speaking Indian or with Australian accents were not that uncommon. It was also used by the Germans when they were re-captured. As such I have put no markings on it simply because all the forces could and DID use these trucks.

The model is (MISCAST) Frontline (Link ) and 20mm or 1/72nd scale. I shall SLOWLY be building my western desert forces. So more are on their way!

But  as mentioned above I was in a can't be bothered kind of mood all weekend so got little done!

Thanks for looking and more again in a couple of days! All the best Clint

    1. Thank you Dave. I feel fine no problems at all, well no more than normal. As for my "I Cannot be Bothered Mood!" It has now passed, after all I have rules to read.

  2. I think you'd have to have eyes better than mine to identify it as MISCAST! - great paint-job Clint.

    1. Thank you Joe. It is miscast and as such I got it for the cost of materials. So a real bargain!

  3. Great model and nicely painted. The Italians had a desperate shortage of motorised transport from the beginning in their fight in North Africa. By the time Operation Compass was over they had even less that wasn't captured or destroyed. And then to add insult to injury their German allies 'commandeered' much of what was left. Not entirely surprising therefore why Italian POW's were often captured in such great numbers.

    1. Thank you Michael. I do not need many trucks on the table, this shall be one of the few. I appreciate your kind words and some shrewd angles had disguised the main issues! (Phew!)

  8. Wow, what a bargain, Clint and a terrific paint-job to boot! I don’t think there’s anything obviously wrong with the vehicle, and certainly nothing you’d seen when on the tabletop. You really do have a nose for a bargain clearly. Wonderful posting.
