Yes another Zombtober. So a chance to paint more zombies and survivors.
This is a figure by Mantic for their Walking dead all out war range. You have guessed it! It came in the box set, the starter set. The base set.
As such it is hard plastic 28mm and does have a character card.
I went for a very simple survivor paint scheme as I have had relatives here all morning and wanted to get him done before I missed the first blogging post of Zombtober. As that is now I have made it with time to spare.
It was painted in a hurry but looks OK so no repaint is immanent! Sometimes you just have to be content with how it turns out!
That is a very quick one for today, more again soon and so Catch you later guys!
You're off the blocks already. Funnily enough I just finished painting this very same figure this morning but I haven't photographed him yet.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bryan I shall look forward to seeing your version! I hope you did a better job than me. But what is done is done!
DeleteI liked doing this model when I painted mine. It's nice to see 'survivor' models that don't look like they're going stay in that category for long.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
Thank you Kieron. I am sure that any that have survived at this stage will have at least a knack for it. But I do agree good to see a figure not armed to the teeth!
DeleteOff to a great start Clint for Zomtober, looks plenty good enough for tabletop gaming
ReplyDeleteThank you Dave. You know what it's like I am never happy with my painting!
DeleteBraaains!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lee. Your comment is interesting as it implies that you think that not only can zombies talk they can also vocalise their wants!
DeleteNicely done Clint! Always great having the pressure of 'Thanksgiving' company, to force one to hurry! Enjoy the dinner! I am assuming of course that your a Canuck!
ReplyDeleteThank you Terry. Actually I am a Brit. But no offence taken at all by being called a canuck, In fact I am delighted to be called such.
DeleteNice quick work my friend, very acceptable relatives visiting painting!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran. Having not painted for nearly a week took a while to get back into it!
DeleteNice work Clint. Off to a great start. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Citizen. More from Zombtober in a week of that I am sure.
DeleteNice work on Leon he turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon. He's not perfect but he will do for me.
DeleteGreat job! Do you play with the Mantic rules?
ReplyDeleteThank you Skully. I have played the rules a couple of times only. If I had played them more I think I would have all these figures painted. Maybe this will kick start me in to getting more games played.
DeleteHahaha I painted this dude up as a zombie
ReplyDeleteThank you Andy. Yes he would make a suitable zombie, trust you to do him that way.
DeleteI think I agree with Kieron: this "survivor" will only have that status for a short while longer. He really doesn't look very competent to handle the new reality of the apocalypse :-) .
ReplyDeleteThank you C6. I suspect thinking of him as a Pre Corpse is more that just in some settings. It all depends on how far the Zombie apocalypse has progressed.
DeleteGreat stuff Clint! I know that I'm in the minority but I really like figures like this, just regular people, not looking like they stepped out of the armory. I actually have this guy on the painting table as we speak 🙂
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivor. It all depends on how as individuals we think what stage the zombie apocalypse has currently reached. I suspect I am with you in this regard.
DeleteOff to a good start, even if it seems you were a bit rushed.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joe. Yes a bit rushed. To be fair Iam also rushed this week as well. In fact relative have turned up just now! (Yes seriously)
DeleteLooks fine from here! Good start.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dai. The next one is started. Should be ready on time!
