Gofrey

Another of Matts conversions is Godfrey with a Lewis gun. All part of his growing Anglican League force. I have no idea what he would be doing with a Lewis gun or indeed what he would tell his sisters. But I do feel sure that he would never actually fire it with any hostile effect!

So Far this figure has been my favourite to paint and the sky blue armbands do make the figure stand out on the table top.

Thanks for Looking and most likely another one tomorrow. Probably Walker or Fraiser.

  1. You are clearly a living painting machine at present, Clint, as you;re churning these out without any sign of a drop in your usual excellent brushwork. Great conversion by Matt, and a wonderful choice in colour for the armbands.

    1. Thanks Blax. Godfrey is such a gentle sould I do feel the gun is too big for him and have to think that he is just looking after it until the real owner comes along.

    1. Thank you Michael. He was a joy to paint, despite me getting green and blue mixed up on a highlight and having to repaint the jacket!

  4. Great job with a classic, beloved figure. One can't help but like Godfrey

You're on fire with productivity Clint - don't burn out before the challenge begins! Or are you just making space on the work bench? :-)

    1. Thanks Paul. The work bench is currently crowded. I think I will slow down when the challenge starts as I have some ( a lot) of terrain to make up.

  5. Pood Godfrey, he certainly looks out of his depth holding onto that lewis - for me this is quite an amusing figure (for all the best reasons) and I'm not surprised you've enjoyed bringing him to life with your brushwork.

  8. Lovely job Clint! It looks him, brilliant! Your Wilson was excellent as well. They probably gave him the Lewis cos he's already deaf.
