Edawrd th Dancing Chimp. (28mm)

Ok the title is wrong. His name is not Edward, Nor is he dancing and more so he is not a chimp! But the "Scale is correct!" But as we all know 28mm is not a scale either. maybe I should start again!

The miniature s by West Wind (I know as It had that cast on the tab!) it is also part of the 28mm range.  More than this I cannot tell. Except to say that it is painted for Matt and he got it on eBay along with two others.

The figure is about twice as large as a normal 28mm figure and stands about 40mm. But being hunched if he were ever to stand up straight he would be twice the size. he is definitely more than 2 times the weight.

Overall the figure was a pleasure to paint but I have no idea what Matts purpose is in getting him. Seriously no idea, but I am sure all will be revealed in weeks to come.

That's it for today. Hope you are well and happy. all the best Clint

    1. Thank you Ray. Along with the other 2 I have to paint that is an apt description.

  2. That's a really nice figure. Given his size, I'd most likely use him as a gorilla ganger in Judge Dredd.

    1. Thank you Bryan. A Gorilla ganger in JD would be perfect. And I think I would use him for that as well. But he is now Matt's figure so who knows what he will choose to do with it.

  3. Delightful figure, but a bit overdressed imo (teehee).
I'm intigued as to what purpose Matt has for it though.

    1. Thank you Joe. I was thinking "In her Majesties name" but that is just a guess. It really could be anything Matt has in mind.

    1. Thank you Citizen. I would of course be happier if I knew what It was for. I am sure Matt will tell me soon enough.

  6. Hmmm, maybe a tame fighting ape for his VBCW forces?

    Nice painting Clint :)

    1. Thank you Tamsin. I do not think a VBCW figure, but that is because I have seen what I am painting next! And you will see them soon I am sure.

  8. Great work on your Circ du Noir Man Ape, Clint, one of my fave "Empire Of The Dead" models. Interestingly, the hat should be a top hat, so I'm not sure whether someone has done some conversion work on it or its a limited edition version of the sculpt?

    1. Thank you Simon. It does look like some conversion work, but I do not know by whom. And It is Empire of the dead I do wonder if the other 2 are also in the same range.

  10. Nice paint job Clint - and what a coincidence! My missus has just bought herself a "Steampunk" bowler hat (decorated with cogs, goggles etc - I'm sure you know what I mean) that's exactly the same colour!!!

    1. Thank you Addict. Firstly "Good on your Missus" I hope she is very happy. I picked the colour as I just did not want to paint it black.

And yes I am aware of the steampunk costumes and many ladies look quite fetching in them.
