Even more Burpas

Yes only 4 more Burpa cavalry. But at the end a group shot of this BATCH, which is all the Burpas I have painted since xmas.

As with the rest they are all either Foundry or Empress Miniatures and all 28mm and with luck they should all work together.

The one on the far right is some kind of leader and the background makes him appear darker than he really is. The 2 in the middle shall carry flags or banner. However Matt knows I do not enjoy doing these so he will kindly do them for me. The one on the left is not special in any way  in that he is rank and file and not leader or standard bearer.
Lastly a group pic of all the ones done SINCE Christmas.

Thanks for looking and more again soon. Just give me a few days. Perhaps Tuesday.

All the best on a 5am Sunday morning.

    1. Thank you Phil. I do try to make them look suitable colour wise to the areas they would exist in. It is hard to judge until another comments on your work if you have got it right. So Big thanks

    1. Thank you Blax. Something very different next week I am sure. Matt will collect these and drop of some other figures about lunch time. The could be anything but he says he is giving me a break from Burpas for at least 1 week.

    1. Thank you Tamsin. I sent of for some ECW figures this morning so that should be a nice change (I hope). I have a plan, not a very good plan I grant you but a plan non the less.

    1. Thank you Dave. Matt knows I van easily get bored so a break does us both good. He did mention VBCW but at this stage it really could be anything.

  5. Well you've certainly painted a lot of Burpas by now, it must be quite the gaming force. Top stuff.

    1. Thank you Roy. I can honesty say I do not know how many. Matt has hinted that the end is in sight. he has said 2 more batches, but you never know what certain traders (who will remain in this instance un-named)tempt him with. So it may grow.

  7. Nice work Clint, and a great group shot at the end - you've certainly been bashing out Burpas since Christmas!

    1. Thank you Addict. Starting with the plan..... very simply as a club we like the "En Garde" rules by Osprey. As several players already have ECW 28mm armies, it made sense to me to get a set of plastic ECW figures so we could all have consistent "En Garde!" forces. And maybe set up a mini campaign. Figure wise I have been looking at Scotish as that make the most sense in a Border reiver/ecw setting (at least to me!)

As for the Burpas than you very much. Matt has just left so I will confirm there will be some VBCW figs this week. Undecoating them after lunch!

  8. I like these cavalry, they're quite inspirational as I have a dozen r so of my own to do too - but with a lot fewer colours to consider!
Thanks as ever for the group shot, quite a sizeable force considering what else you've managed to get done.

    1. Thank you Joe. No more Burpas for a while I am told. Plenty of other stuff though. Some 15mm figs soon, once I can recall how to paint them.
