Selwg show, games

First a disclaimer. I have not taken very many pics. I have taken ones of games (mostly non commercial games) and deliberately included the people playing (usually half the body without faces) this is to show they are games and not static displays.

Ok here we go:

Taken from the selwg Command post. Nice guys and worth a chat.

Gravesend gamers Guild

GLC

Society of Ancients

 Newbury and Reading

Pike and shot society

 Sheppy Wargames Society

Tonbridge Wells Wargames Society

  The Anti Alchemists
 Essex Warriors

 Friday night in Crawley

Deal wargames Club

 Maidstone Wargames Club
"Fenris Descending"

 SEEMS

 Loughton Strike force
 Simon Miller "To the Strongest"

Theer you Go many games unlabelled and I have no idea who they were. many did have labels ad I have misplaced them And still don't know who they are.

No good Giving me a flyer for the game, when it gets muddled in with the rest how Am I supposed to remember which is which.

Still WHINING will not help. So have a look at the games and make your own mind up.

All the best Clint

    1. Thanks Dave. A label on your game at a show I would think was quite important as it allows people to know a little about the club or game without having to talk to anyone. And we all know some people get very nervous of talking in a public place. So I would HOPE that all clubs should label their games.

  2. Nice pics of the games Clint. The lack of labels on some games was certainly a problem for me when I was doing my post, not helped by the fact that some were in different places to what the programme showed.

    1. Thanks Tamsin I agree. I seem to have missed a few games as well. Too Late can't go back and get them now. Every show when I do a show report I kick myself and think I need to do better. But then the show comes and it all goes pear shaped.

Good to see you though on the day.

  4. Some good to excellent looking games there Clint, I do love seeing what's apparently"in vogue" atm, but this shows a great diversity og games and eras.
It does look like a very, very enjoyable show.

    1. Thank you Joe. I also like to see games from different areas. And I agree nothing really grabbed me as "THE" game but they were all good.

    1. Thank you Matt. I will admit some games were better than others and some parts of games were better then other parts of the same game.

    1. Thank you Michael. Those Anti-alchemists I have spoken to are really nice chaps. And that is the best part. At least for me.

    1. Thank you Bryan. Unfortunately you cannot see how well some games played. And while there is little there for me directly I did enjoy them all. And I did find the show gave me a new spark!
