Tweak! 28mm

"Why has Tweak only got one ear?" The  young voice said.
 "Because I dropped him on the concrete and it broke off and shattered!"
Came the reply.
"Oh" was the only answer and the mystery of the one eared Tweak was explained.


Yes I did drop it on the concrete and it did shatter. Which IS a shame, but it did reach me from Dave (wargamesterrainworkshop.co.uk/) at WTWin a fine condition and NO blame in any way attaches itself to him because of my clumsiness.
The Character of "Tweak" should be clear to ant of a certain age who read 200ad comics. If you did not read 2000ad I can't help you but I can sympathise and suggest you had a deprived childhood!

Here is a comic book version. He appeared along with Judge Dredd and as a character Tweak  was not particularly enjoyed by me. But it was a free figure and as such was painted with much gratitude. I realise some people would have thought Tweak was the best thing since sliced bread and I mean to take nothing away from that view. Just saying to me he was a distraction and to me did not add very much to the JD storyline.





I suspect the figure was sculpted by Dave. (Thanks Dave) And It is a fine figure. As you can see I have stuck to the same colours as the comic and the figure does sit well with my other JD figures. However as I do not play Judge Dredd very much he is not likely to have very much table time.

Sorry the pics are so dark, It's winter and a flash will only do so much. Most importantly it is another figure done and one I will not (I think) be doing again.

I hope to post again in a few days but that does depend on how real life is in the mean time. So far it is being good to me.

    I, too, was a recipient of this figure thanks to Dave's kindness and generosity. It's a shame about his ear. I'm guessing you lost it because I'm sure it could have been glued back on and no one would be any the wiser. For what it's worth, I liked Tweak. His backstory was very poignant.

      Thanks Bryan. Yeah the ear is long gone. But I do not mind he is a different member of the same species now! So it is all good.

    Very nice painting Clint, as you say could easily have lost his ear in a battle, or be another of his species

      Thanks again Dave. I am suggesting he is another of his species. That way If need be I can have more than one on the table at a time. Not that I need another at all.

    Great work, Clint. My Tweak has lost an ear and a foot, but both have been pinned back on, so he is still good to go. Nice painting on one of my fave models from Dave :-)

      Thank you Blax. Back to the paint table for me. I do not feel as If I have done anywhere near enough this or last week.

      broken Tweaks are still worth having and they paint quite easily. Which is always a bonus.

    Even though I read many 2000ADs Teak is not a character I remember. I'm sure I've seen quite a few renditions of this sculpt, but not a one as unique as yours Clint - great stuff imo.

      Thank you Joe. I tried to keep quite close to the comics but did realise that no matter what I did it was never going to be "right". With that in my mind from the outset I was less concerned with it being totally correct. (After all how could it be?)

    Nice job on your battle damaged version of Tweak. I am sure once he gets to a flesh smith he will get his ear re attached.

      Thank you Simon. I have grown accustomed to "one ear!" So I will probably leave him as he is. Already painting some historicals now.
