Broadside 2013

When playing a game at a show you have to balance the time shopping and the time taking pics of other peoples games. As such I have only included a few games that were of personal interest to me. I decided not to include the Rejects game, simply because with three bloggers around the table and being very approachable chaps there would be plenty of overlap between the three of them and thus pictures of a very handsome looking game on a number of blogs without my being able to improve the situation. Likewise there are no pictures of my game, (I will add some later in the week) but this is for technical issues and the 3 layers of yacht varnish which were very reflective! Other bad news is that I have totally failed to identify the games as I was not given a programme for the show or any form of layout diagram. So we shall both just have to enjoy the eye candy and guess, unless of course you know any better!

I will do a discussion of the day tomorrow. But will leave todays post with a big thank you to David Crook ( http://awargamingodyssey.blogspot.co.uk/ ) for his very generous gift. Cheers mate really appreciated.

So another one Tuesday. You have been warned! So until then. take care, have fun and if you can roll some dice!

Cheers Clint

    1. It is a small show at the moment, but footfall has increased each year so we must be doing something right.

    1. Always happy if anyone can make it but no worries at all if you can't. My eyesight is so bad I can't drive so I have a lot of problems getting to shows even ones that are close! Let alone ones that are distant!

    1. Cowboys are just my thing.... perhaps it's the name!

I do think your game looked spectacular Ray. Everything well painted and modelled. If Hollywood had done a couple of good films on the subject maybe it would have been my favourite game. (Yes I am that shallow!)

    1. Should I admit that I will be working 4 hours of overtime each day for the next 2 weeks so might drop the painting for a little. So I am stringing the show reports out.....just so I can keep blogging.

  7. Some great photographs Clint, I'm instantly drawn to the Sudan game, but the Wild West looks pretty tasty too.

    1. The Sudan game did look good. They were using the "Khartoum" book by Michael Asher as there inspiration. Henry Hyde was talking to them when I was no my break so I can't give any more details except to say it was 28mm.

    1. I can't help it I am drawn to wild west games. I did suggest we do one as a show game, but Tim from Front line no longer makes the buildings.

    1. Good to see you as well. I'm glad you like the fudge. And I hope you enjoyed the show. We have had the first email from a new trader booking a table for next year. So as soon as one comes to an end the process comes full circle and starts again.

  10. Out of these photos I like the Wild West the most as well. Of course, I have not seen the Rejects posts yet, so I'm sure their's was the best at show:)

    1. Being honest they did put on a very good looking game. (much better looking than mine). But as they WILL cover it between them the overlap of me doing so meant mine would be superfluous. Of course it was the best looking game, they are all bigger than me and they out number me so to tell the truth might not be wise! JK
