nice set of battles
ReplyDeleteThank you Martin. A nice show for sure.
DeleteLove the look of the tables, my fave being the Dr Who set up, looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you Andy. Yes the Dr Who Game is good but Dr who (In My opinion) is about a NON combative hero who wins with wits. So I am always cautious of Dr Wargames as they tend to have players who shoot first and think last no matter what the rules say!
DeleteSome excellent looking games there and amongst the ones you've shown, I can't see a single 'dud'
ReplyDeleteThank you Joe. All the games were good and in many different forms. No Unpaintd on the tables here!
DeleteGreat looking show - thanks for all the pictures
ReplyDeleteThank you Miles. One of the things, for me, is seeing all the games that are different from what I would think of. That is what makes a good show for me.
DeleteLots of nice eye candy there, Clint. It seemed to be a good show.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good show. Possible the best I have been to this year. But there were issues as well, some empty tables for example.
DeleteFantastic and lovly looking show! what a war tables!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael. Indeed some very good looking games there.
DeleteI understand that Ray offered sexual favours to be allowed in - they told him "That's a threat, not an offer" ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, a halfway decent pic of me has appeared on the interwebs :)
Nice set of pics of the games Clint - the one where you say "Sorry memory has gone" was a view from the other end of the GLC Gamers table.
Cheers Mate. I am glad you like the picture of you. And a big thanks for correcting me about the GLC game. I will alter the blog post now.
DeleteOnce again Thanks.
Looks like a great day out with some fun catchups with blogosphere notables!
ReplyDeleteThank you Paul. There were several bloggers their and I was happy to be included. And while I do not consider myself as notable in any way at least they did not run and hide from me this time. But that makes me wonder if they did and if they were good at it how would I know! Ahh the joy of Paranoia!!
DeleteExcellent photos mate. Good to see you again.
ReplyDeleteCheers Mate. Always good to see you. Hope you had as good a day as I had.
DeleteRay is nice people, you've changed man!
ReplyDeleteThank you Fran feel free to copy that picture of Ray for your own private shrine.
Deletenice looking show, I bet you had a whale of a time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stephen. It was good, very good infact. Yep a whole lot of fun.
DeleteLooks like a cracking day out with some wonderful games - those pikes look stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael. The "To the Strongest" game did look very good indeed. It was commented on in the day.
DeleteI,m pretty sure the first ACW game shown was Picketts charge in 15mm. The second set were 28mm don't know the action. Only remember becouse you know how I'm drawn to the blue and the grey
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim. I will see what other blogs say. You may well be right. See you Sunday.
Deletea grand day out Clint by the book - apart runing into Ray obviously... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. Meeting young Raymond might have been the highlight of my day. (Yeah Ok maybe not the highlight!)
DeleteA great day out Clint, thanks for the pics!! And thanks for my figure too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray. A pleasure to give you a figure. I hope she serves you well. And yes it was a good day.
DeleteHmm, I once played the Daleks in a Doctor Who game that looked very like that. If i remember correctly, a Cyberman blocked the exit from my starting room on turn 1 and I spent pretty much all of the game trying to exterminate it so that I could get out. Exterminate! EXTERMINATE!!
ReplyDeleteThanks C6 that sounds like the kind of game I would have experienced.
DeleteGreat looking games...I saw the 2 mm game a salute and quite liked the approach something different but as you say really quite small ! 😀
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt. I know several of the Maistone guys and they usually put on a good game. They already working on the show game for 2018. But for me 2 mm figures are just too small. No objection other than that.
DeleteFabulous looking games on display!
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon, I totally agree.
