yes I Know I spelt it wrong. here Is my latest Zombie. Part of the Walking dead game by Mantic.One of the things I did Like about the Walking dead is the Zombie Child in the first episode. I would like to see more (NO NOT A ZOMBIE CARL). So in that vein I was delighted that the Mantic game has a mix of both male and female and old on not so old. Therefore I painted this zombie up to be one of the old ones. Killed in the first few days.
Not played the walking dead game yet but I have plans in a couple of weeks, I really do need to get them all painted up pretty soon.
Also shown is a pic from the back. Plenty of gorge/blood and guts. Maybe his own maybe that of other people. His cardigan was repainted as I did try it in a pale green and then mucked it up. I am just being honest!All the figures in the Mantic game are hard plastic and I have yet to see one repeated. So I am very pleased with them as it stands. I already have players asking to play Darrel Or Marl or Neagan or The Governor bus as I have yet to purchase them I don't see it happening for a while.
Anyway I apologise for not posting on Monday, Time just got away from me. I still have a lot on the painting table in a multitude of scales (10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 28mm). So I have no idea what will be next.

Zombies, yeah! you can never go wrong with zombies in my humble opinion. You've done a really good job on grandad, Clint. I'd have made the blood a bit darker but that's only a minor criticism.
ReplyDeleteNote that Daryl does not appear in this game because he only appears in the TV series. The game only features characters from the comic series. Still, there is nothing stopping you creating a character for Daryl and using one of the Studio Minis versions of him in your games.
Thank you Bryan. yes I am aware there is no Darrel and that the actor originally auditioned for Merle. That aside I am still being asked for a Darrel character. Personally I would have preferred a "Glen" but others are already asking for a Darrel.

DeleteGreat work Clint, and your backdrop is just the job too. Lots of gore and it genuinely appears to be a doddery old grandpa who was just too slow :-)

DeleteI got to demo this game at Mantic's booth while at Adepticon. It IS great fun and the mechanics of it are really slick. I bought the game for my tween-ager girls as they are huge Walking Dead fans ( and Zombicide). The minis are really good which is just a bonus! ;)

ReplyDeleteThe Mantic zeds really do look good, (as do the Studio mini metal ones) but I can't see me getting them as I'm more than I can use already.

Thank you Joe. I must admit I saw the Walking dead game on You Tube and thought it was pretty good. I am mostly painting historical at the moment (Colonial by Saturday and no NOT Burpas) so Painting the ODD zombie is a pleasant change.
