Whatever next?

2 more figures done for Matt. No I do not know what they are or by whom they were produced. I am sure I could do an internet search and find they. But I am in a Lack-sid-asicle mood so I have not done so. Sorr just some days you just cannot be bothered. And Today is that day!

Again I think they are west wind 28mm figures but further details I have no idea. Maybe "Empire of the Dead" and then again maybe not.  Gee that was insightful.

Fun to paint for a change, but I will say no more about them.

Several things have been undercoated now.  As I ran out of spray undercoat yesterday and had to buy some first thing today. It has put me a little behind my own schedule but not drastically so.

No Idea what I will finish next. BUT if you have a strong preference I may work on that project a little swifter. here are the options:

  • Lord of the rings (1 figure started)
  • Aeronef (9 vessels now undercoated)
  • Giant worm. (1 of emerging from the ground)
  • BoB unit. A Squad of Russian Soldiers for the Back of Beyond game. * figures and started in haste last night as they had been undercoated in grey already.

Happy to listen to what you want next, but it will still be my choice as to what is finished first. Just depends on my mood and how much I am enjoying painting them.

Bye for now more again (assuming I have a speedy brush) on Saturday.

All the best Clint

  1. Nice work on whatever they are Clint :-)
They're certainly very strange looking creatures and it does make me wonder what Matt has planned for them !!
As for the painting options, I'd like to see your BoB Russians up next ;-)

    1. Thanks WA. I will paint the first Platoon as White Russians. Uniform wise there is very little difference. between Red and White Russians. So wargames wise they can be either. There are so many armies that could be involved I am sure they will eventually get use as both.

  2. You really are a wonderfully versatile painter Clint. Lovely job, especially that flowing red cape.

    1. Thank you Dave as for what next. Tweek is also in the running, however I have dropped him on some concrete and he shattered. Mostly he is put back together so he could well be next as well.

Slaps Forehead! "Less haste more speed!" All my impatience.

    3. Thanks Dave. I will do tweek soon. He is at least started. And only an ear missing. So he will look Okay. It is not as if they might not have one ear missing after an accident or battle so it is just me needing to get around to it.

  4. They are both very interesting characters and you've done a great job on painting them. I don't recognise them at all.

  5. Great stuff, Clint, and yep, more "Empire of the Dead" minis, namely Professor Gecko and Great Uncle Thulu - you're really tempting me to pull out some of mine and paint them too!!

    1. Thank you Simon. I have put away the paint brush for the day. It looks at present as If it will be BoB unit no1 next time.

As for Empire of the dead. I have only painted these as Matt wanted me too. Not really my cup of tea but happy to paint for him (well mostly happy to paint for him, some-things more than others though!!!)

As for what to paint next, I'd go with whatever would get you closer to finishing one of you many projects.

    1. Thank you Joe. As of Saturday morning (7am) I am close to finishing two options. Either a LotR figure in 28mm or a unit of White Russian 20mm figures. So It could go either way at present.
